Woodland Garden

Woodland Garden path going South

Art: On the deck of the New Residence, Wooden Carousel - Mary Ann Voorhis

Entrance: At the southern end of the Alluvial Terrace, the area narrows dramatically and is shaded by both the Eucalyptus windrow and adjacent redwood and pine forest trees from the new residence garden.

Snowberry

Plantings: This more intimate area provides the opportunity for extensive demonstration of dry-shade type plants, with a naturalistic woodland feeling such as coral bells, snowberries, and hummingbird sage. At the transition to the Lemon grove there is a screen, on the windrow side of the garden, of Golden Bamboo moved from the old site.
