The Metropolitan Water District is a long-time supporter of water-wise practices. A grant from the MWD was instrumental in creating this garden. They offer useful information on water-wise gardening and common-sense water conservation in general.

The Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden. An excellent garden of California Natives with many resources for the local gardener including extensive classes and a large annual plant sale.

The Theodore Payne Foundation for Wildflowers and Native Plants Inc. is a highly-respected resource for native plant gardeners with gardening information and instructions, as well as providing information on viewing wildflower blooms each spring and a major source of native plant seeds.
The Santa Barbara Botanic Garden is dedicated to research, education and conservation, and display of California native plants.
For information on creating a wildlife friendly habitat in your garden, and applying for the Certified Wildlife Habitat designation for your home garden.
U.C Davis Agriculture and Natural Resources maintains an extensive web site of general information for both gardeners and agriculture. There is extensive help for watering, pest management, and many other topics. This is also the sponsor and home site for the Master Gardeners program.
There are several commercial nurseries that actively support native and Mediterranean plants. These include the Tree of Life Nursery and Native Sons Nursery.
