Art at the Maloof Foundation
Art has always been an essential part of the Maloof's lives. Sam has been an active collector of both work by local artists in the greater Claremont arts community, wood turners throughout America, and work by native peoples of both the Southwest and Mexico. This work can be found throughout the Old Residence/Museum, the Education Center/Gallery and the Gardens.
Artists at the Foundation
Art exhibits and sales are held at the Foundation to encourage contemporary artists. Also, every Thanksgiving weekend Sam and Beverly are host to the native woodcarvers and weavers of Oaxaca and the potters of Mata Ortiz, offering visitors a unique opportunity to meet with the craft persons and purchase their work directly.

Sculpture in the Gardens
Sculpture is especially suited for use in the gardens and you will find fine examples throughout the site. Many are by well-known members of the greater Claremont arts community, often personal friends of Sam. This work enriches the experience of your visit to the gardens. The pictures below give a sample of the work to be discovered.
